I have been working on these antique plates I bought a couple years ago and am cutting them down to a workable size and preparing them for applique

Vacation day #2

Had a decent second day off.  Went to lunch with mom and sister and had a big tenderloin sandwich.  Started cleaning my room and now I am relaxing.  Still haven't stitched a thing.

I took a couple days off work to relax a bit and it is spring break this week so the kids are home. 

Doing some string piecing and cleaning a bit today.

Palm Sunday

Was a very good service today.  Reflecting back on the path of the Savior. 

Been thinking of trying to sell some homemade items online just to help while we are down to one income.

Celtic Solstice is complete minus the outer border.  I will try to finish this week and then I have another quilt someone asked me to make :)

Mystery Quilt Time of year.....with Quiltville !

I have been furiously working on Celtic Solstice since just after Thanksgiving.  Like last year's Easy Street I have learned alot about how to get those blocks accurate and straight.  Today I will be working on Step five which is the last one and then eventually I will get to put this thing together.  I haven't decided if I will have someone quilt this or hand quilt again....time will tell, stay tuned !
